The opening game week of the new season of the Premier League is behind us, so, now we can discussing about the things happened from an Fantasy Premier League point of view, and we’ve got a lot of work to do till the deadline of the game week 2 ahead of the weekend.

So, for sure, we can start with the Manchester United-Fulham game, which the home side won with 1-0, and it was the new club signing Joshua Zirkzee (FWD, 7.0m) who scored the only goal at ‘Old Trafford’. However, it was a disappointing night for Bruno Fernandes (MID, 8.5m), but same for Alejandro Garnacho (MID, 6.5m) owners as well.
Fernandes played as center forward and missed a big chance to score, for sure he had a brace in his hand. Garnacho, except he provided the assist, missed almost an empty goal in the final minutes of the match.
However, Noussair Mazraoui (DEF, 4.5m) has ‘stole’ the show with his fantastic debut, as the defender got not only clean sheet, he even made 2 bonus points, and in this moment he is the most transferred in player at Fantasy Premier League.
It was a Diogo Jota (MID, 7.5m) moment in the win for Liverpool against newly promoted Ipswich at home, as the Portugal international has scored a goal but did not get bonus points, as there were for Mohamed Salah (MID, 12,5m) (3), and there was Trent Alexander-Arnold (DEF, 7.0m) (2). Salah scored one goal and the same amount of assist in this match, making a fantastic amount of 14 points.
It was obviously that Jota got his chance and used it under the new head coach playing style, Arne Slot, as there was no place in the starting line-up for Darwin Nunez (FWD, 7.5m).

We are continuing for the win of Arsenal against Wolverhampton at home, as there were two players who’stole’ the whole show, Kai Havertz (FWD, 8.0m) and Bukayo Saka (MID, 10.0m). There were a lot of discussions about the fixture schedule of Arsenal in the opening game weeks, but that for sure is not important, as Mikel Arteta’s team played a fantastic game, and Havertz and Saka both scored a goal and assisted.
In general, there will not be a dilemma over this duo, they already proved their worth, and it will be hard to continue at Fantasy Premier League without them, as there will be a lot of points from them. Yes, there was a little talk about their prices, and the changed position from midfield to forward for Havertz, buth they once again proved their worth.
Of course there will be a little dilemma over the role of Anthony Gordon (MID, 7.5m) in the win for Newcastle against Southampton with 1-0 at home, and Alexander Isak (FWD, 8.5m) as well, but it was a win for Newcastle, it was a first match, and it’s a situation ‘wait and see’ about Gordon, as he did not look sharp like in the last season. Isak made the assist in the goal, which was scored by Joelington (MID, 6.0 m).

Nottingham Forest for sure was on the radar ahead of the new season, and the main reason was their fantastic run of the fixtures in the opening game weeks, with the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White (MID, 6.5m), Anthony Elanga (MID, 5.5m), and Callum Hudson-Odoi (MID, 5.5m) being so popular as differential picks, and their price was so tempting. However, their draw against Bournemouth with 1-1 opened a big dilemma, as only Chris Wood (FWD, 6.0m) made an attacking return with the goal.
Bryan Mbeumo (MID, 7.0m) and Yoane Wissa (FWD, 6.0m) for sure made such big impressions in the win for Brentford against Crystal Palace with 2-1 at home, as both scored a goal, and Wissa added one assist.
It was a little disappointing the fact that Ebereche Eze (MID, 7.0m) couldn’t make an attacking return from this match, but the statistics said that they are coming, so it needs to be patient with him as he is the main player at the Oliver Glasner team.

Before the season started, there were a lot of discussions among the Fantasy Premier League managers over the ‘With/Without Haaland draft’; however, Erling Haaland (FWD, 15.0m) scored in the win for Manchester City against Chelsea away with 0-2, and with that goal, he announced himself as a must-have ahead of the match against newly promoted Ipswich at home.
The debut for Dominic Solanke (FWD, 7.5m) in Tottenham was the main topic, but there was only a draw for Tottenham against new promoted side Leicester at away with 1-1, and Solanke did not make an attacking return from this match. He will have a chance in the match against Everton at home for sure, as the opponent has a lot of problems in their team, especially in the defensive line.
However, it was a good ending of the game week 1 for the Pedro Porro (DEF, 5.5m) owners, as he scored the only goal for Tottenham. Can Jamie Vardy (FWD, 5.5m) can continue with the goals? It’s a situation ‘wait and see’, but it was phenomenal to see the 37-year-old player scoring for Leicester, reminding all of the champions days of the club in the Premier League.
