There was a possibility for Jebbison (FWD, 4.5m) to take the position of Dominic Solanke (FWD, 7.5m) after his transfer to Tottenham, but that possibility maybe now will not be a case after Bournemouth signed Evanilson (FWD, 6.0m) from Porto.

In a club-record deal (unofficial: 40 million pounds), the Brazil international comes in to replace Solanke, and the 24-year-old player handed the No. 9 shirt and has great statistics behind him.
Evanilson became one of the most consistent strikers in Portugal, as in 154 games for Porto he scored 60 goals and also provided 17 assists. Important to note: he also made his debut for Brazil in a friendly against Mexico last season and was a part of Brazil’s squad for Copa America 2024.

Also important to note is the fact that he scored 7 penalties and missed 2 from that spot, and maybe now we have a clear picture of the next first penalty taker at Bournemouth, as there was a possibility Justin Kluivert (MID, 5.5m) to take that role, as we saw during the pre-season, as we wrote about this during the pre-season (READ – HERE).
However, it seems that Bournemouth made a real deal; they brought in a player who is very capable of scoring goals; last season he scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists, which is more than solid statistics, and 4 goals and 1 assist were in the Champions League.

So, Antoine Semenyo (MID, 5.5m) was used as a central striker in the match against Nottingham Forest away and scored the only goal for Bournemouth with the result 1-1. However, it will be a big question: will Semenyo be a partner in the attack with Evanilson, or will he be a support from the offensive side? We already wrote about this (READ – HERE), and it happened: Semenyo, not even though he played as a center forward, scored the only goal for Bournemouth.
The run of the fixtures for Bournemouth is not favorable, as their first ‘green’ fixtures come in game week 6 (vs. Southampton, H) and game week 7 (vs. Leicester, A), but for sure Evanilson will be one to monitor.
