Our Pro Pundit: With five transfers, you can get back on track without taking any points hit

FPL is back and we are here with our advices and team selection. The EURO is behind us, we, managers got a little rest, but now the FPL is on, and we are here ready to start. As we know, FPL is on the road, but now with some changes, and everyone of us has a different view and impression.

FIVE FREE TRANSFERS

Personaly I think that this changes from FPL is a good chance first for those managers who after they lost the race with high scoring managers, or their mini leagues and forget the team, to make some big changes and trying to get on track, but now without minus 8 or 12 points like in the past seasons, and lituraly they got an “extra” chip like mini wildcard.

Second, this rule will be highly accepted from the managers who planned ahead and have a good bench. Why? Because after a some unpleased form, suspension or injury, those with a good bench not will be rushed to make changes under urgent and under pressure, but can wait more then 2,3 weeks to clear their mind and make decisions later but now up to 5 free transfers without taking hit.

Third, very good call not to lose your transfers after playing some chip.

BPS AND SCORING CHANGES

I’m not a fan for the bps scoring rule, but some of the new changes now I think that will have some improvements, some will not.

Firstly, saving a penalty will be reduced from 15 to 9BPS.

I wait 2 years for my goalkeepers to save a penalty, so who care about bps 🙂

– Goalkeepers and defenders conceding a goal will be worth -4BPS – Not a fan!
– A goal line clearance will be worth 3BPS – Good call, but little bps, I think it should worth minimum 8 bps.
– A foul won will be worth 1BPS – Great!
– A shot on target will be worth 2BPS – Great!

I have one idea for bps changing.

Goalkeeper saving a big chance from players who missed a big chance.

That will be massive, very good, and fair for goalkeepers who have more saves like that instead of numerous light saves from 40 yards.

MISTERY CHIP

In my opinion, this is the best call from FPL, but the question is what type of chip it will be. My wish is to have a option to choose a chip from additional ones.

Get two TRIPLE or get two FH for me is very interesting with more different strategies, and will make the game more tough to play and give a chance and hope to those who are behind you.

PRICING OF THE PLAYERS

15m for Haaland, 10.5m Palmer, Saka 10m, etc… This is a very brave decision from FPL and I think that is a right call because they want to make a changes and avoid a “bus team” and template.

Now is harder to have everyone in your team, like we used to say, and this make the game more interesting for playing. Now, we must do the right moves, more planning and thinking like in chess if we want to be on the top.
